Mumbai | Shiv Sena in its editorial Saamna has elaborated on its target of getting it own member as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra next year.
On the 53th foundation year, the Uddhav Thackeray-led party said that party should work towards having their own Chief Minister by the 54th Foundation Year.
The editorial also said, “In spite of being in coalition, Sena has independent thinking. In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has taken a stand which Balasaheb Thackeray took for Mumbai. Balasaheb faced extreme criticism when he raised the issue of employment for locals. But today all states in India are working towards protecting their cultures. Seeds of Hindutva sown by Balasaheb have now grown in the nation.”
“There can be different religions in the country but the law should be one,” it added.
The editorial spoke more about their unbiasedness.
“There should be unity in thoughts. Do Russia and the US have different laws for Muslims? Can’t Muslims raise voice in those countries? Such questions were raised by Balasaheb.”
The Shiv Sena and the BJP faced a strained relationship before and during the Lok Sabha polls. This decision might put a stretch again.
