Social Media An ‘Unruly Horse’, No One Can Rein It: Yogi Adityanath To BJP IT Cell Workers

According to the Indian Express, Yogi Adityanath warned the party workers that if they do not exercise caution, they could face a media trial.

 

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described social media as an ‘unbridled horse’ and said that no one can rein it. Talking to BJP workers, Yogi Adityanath, CM of UP, said that social media is a kind of ‘unbridled horse’ at present and training and preparations are needed to curb it. Yogi Adityanath was addressing the workers and officials of BJP IT cell in a social media workshop organized in Lucknow.

According to the Indian Express, Yogi Adityanath warned the party workers that if they do not exercise caution, they could face a media trial. Citing the Pegasus spy scandal controversy, he told party IT cell workers to be ready to respond on social media and not wait for a moment.

Talking. Adityanath said that there was a time when there were owners and editors of powerful print and television media, but social media has no father. “There used to be some people in print and visual media who had control, but no one has control over social media. So if you are not vigilant then you can be a victim of media trial,” Yogi Adityanath said. He further said, therefore we need that kind of training and preparation to control this unruly horse.

Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal has lashed out at Yogi Adityanath’s statement on social media. Kapil Sibal tweeted questioning while Social Media is an unbridled horse according to Yogi Adityanath, which state in India an unruly one?
