Subramanian Swamy asks Kharge to file an Affidavit in court on the Rafale verdict

Subramanian Swamy said, “PAC Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge saying he has not got CAG report then we have to take his word.”

New Delhi| The CAG report cited in the Supreme Court’s Rafale judgment has caused a lot of uproars from the opposition. While the opposition has attacked the government for lying about the CAG report in the Supreme Court, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has asked opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge to file an affidavit in the court.

Talking to a news agency, he said, “PAC Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge saying he has not got CAG report then we have to take his word.” He further suggested that Kharge should file an affidavit or a review petition in the Supreme Court. “He should file affidavit or review petition in court saying I did not receive and the committee has not examined it,” Swamy said.

Earlier today, Kharge slammed the government for allegedly lying to the SC about CAG report in Rafale deal. He said the PAC had not received any such document. He also said the committee will summon Attorney General and CAG for further inquiry in the matter.

The Supreme Court in its verdict on Friday said that there was no occasion to believe that there were wrong-doings in the Rafale deal. The ruling BJP following the ruling had demanded an apology from Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
