“Those who sympathize with terrorists are against abrogation of Article 370”: PM Modi

Articles 370 and 35A were like chains, in which people were fastened. These chains are broken now,” PM Modi asserted.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday targeted those opposing the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi said that those sympathetic to the terrorists are opposing it.

In an interview given to news agency IANS, Prime Minister spoke on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking about those who opposed the decision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Look at the list of those who have opposed the decision taken about Kashmir, these are unusual vested selfish groups, political families who sympathize with terror and some are people of opposition.”

PM Modi on Abrogation of Article 370:

“The people of India, apart from their political affiliations, have supported the steps taken regarding Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,” he said. Modi also said that the decision is in the interest of the nation and not driven by politics. He said that the people of India are seeing that the decisions which were difficult and previously seemed impossible, are becoming a reality today.

Abrogation of Article 370 a reality:

Prime Minister Modi said, “Look at the list of people who opposed the decision taken on Kashmir – an uncompromising selfish group, a dynasty, who sympathize with terror and some friends of opposition. But the people of India, apart from their political affiliations, have supported the steps taken regarding Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

“It is about the nation, not about politics. The people of India are seeing that the decisions which were difficult but necessary, and previously seemed impossible, are becoming a reality today. “

Kashmir gets equal opportunity

“My brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh always wanted a better opportunity, but Article 370 did not allow this to happen. Injustice was done to women and children, ST and SC communities. The biggest thing is that the innovative ideas of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh could not be used.

“Tday, from BPO to startup, from food processing to tourism, the investment can be done in many industries and generate employment for local youth. Education and skill development will also flourish,” he said.

“I want to assure my sisters and brothers of Jammu and Kashmir that these areas will be developed in accordance with the wishes, dreams and ambitions of the local people. Articles 370 and 35A were like chains, in which people were fastened. These chains are broken now,” PM Modi asserted.
