On Monday in a rally, Anurag Thakur was caught on camera making inflammatory comments in Rithala, ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
The slogan used by Anurag Thakur is also raised by right-wing organisations and was reportedly heard during the January 5 attack on teachers and students at JNU.
Seen clapping his hands over his head, Thakur chanted, “Desh ke gaddaron ko (traitors of the country)…”, with the crowd hitting back with “goli maaro saalon ko (shoot them all)”.
According to reports, Thakur was later joined by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the same election rally, which was held in Rithala, Delhi, in support of the BJP candidate Manish Chowdhury.
