#Watch: Piyush Goyal trolled for reading Kalma along with prayer

New Delhi | A video of Union Minister Piyush Goyal has gone viral on the internet where he is seen saying that he recites ‘La ilaha illallah Muhammadur rasulullah’ at the time of worship.

The video seems to be 3-year-old as per the date January 28, 2016 mentioned on the screen behind Goyal. The Union Minister is seen sharing that stage with Zafar Sareshwala the chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University.

Addressing the Audience Goyal is seen saying,” I have taken permissions from Zafar Bhai that I can start with the sentence we had learned when I was small. It has settled in my mind that when I worship every morning, I add this sentence my prayers as well: ‘La ilaha illallah Muhammadur rasulullah’”.”In fact, the power of all religions help for the formation of a whole nation and give us the power to live us in peace and harmony.”

However, Goyal is been trolled for his statement on Social Media. Twitter user Madhu Purnima Kishwar accused Goyal of sailing in two boats. She wrote,” Piyush Goyal Ji, becoming half Muslim won’t work. Have full faith in Islam, You have even defeated ‘Gandhi Baba’ (Mahatma Gandhi). He died reciting ‘Ishwar Allha’. The message is clear Modi government’s minister is asking us to live like a ‘Dhimmi’. (Dhimmi is a historical term referring to non-Muslims living in an Islamic state with legal protection.)

“Goyal reciting the chant clearly means, ‘I confess that Allah is the — greatest and the sole worshipper and that Mohammad Saheb is his Messenger.’ Kashmiri Hindus and Pakistani Hindus refused to read the same and became homeless leaving their property behind,” she added.
