I will jail the Election Commission if voted to power: Prakash Ambedkar

Yavatmal | Three-time MP and BBM leader Prakash Ambedkar threatened to take action against the EC, calling them biased.

Addressing a public gathering at Yavatmal in Maharashtra, he alleged that the Election Commission was prohibiting political parties against talking about the Pulwama attack and called them biased.

“I would like to know why we are not allowed to talk about the Pulwama terror attack when it is permitted under Constitution. Let our government come to power, we will not spare the Election Commission. We will keep them in jail for two days. The Commission is no more neutral. It is functioning as a BJP aide,” he said.

Prakash Ambedkar will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Solapur and Akola constituencies.

The EC in Maharashtra has asked the local district poll official to send a report on the matter.

Prakash Ambedkar is the grandson of BR Ambedkar.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be held from the 11th of April and will go in seven phases. The result of the counting will be announced on May 23.
