Breaking News: Yashwant Sinha resigns from BJP

Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha and a known Modi critique today announced that he has decided to resign from BJP. His announcement has come at a time when 2019 Lok Sabha Election is less than a year away.

Talking at an event in Patna organized by National Forum– a platform launched by Yashwant Sinha and few of his supporters, he said, that the biggest danger that the Nation faces today is about the state and future of democracy. “I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to this mission. BJP, I RESIGN!” he announced.

However, he did not shy away from making scathing remarks on the party leadership. He said that voices of common people are being muzzled in the media and the Government is sheltering such forces. Expressing displeasure over the functioning of parliament during the budget session, he said, “The parliament failed in the most important duty.”

His resignation has come days after he wrote an open letter to BJP leaders to speak up to the party leadership.
