Bengaluru | As the playwright William Shakespeare once said, “What’s in a name?”, out ruling party BJP would like to differ. BS Yeddyurappa as he was called until now, has gone back to his original name BS Yediyurappa, just before taking the oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the fourth time.
In a letter, the soon-to-be CM had written his name as Yediyurappa. He had addressed the letter to the Governor to give permission for the swearing-in ceremony.
The social media handles have not yet changed back.
Since 1975, he had carried his name as ‘Yediyurappa’.
He was advised by the numerologists to change to ‘Yeddyurappa’ after he became the CM.
After short- span ministership of the leader in 2007 and 2018, Yediyurappa was advised to go back to older spelling.
