He said, “I heard some members shouting ‘ED government’ earlier. Yes, this government was formed because of ED – Eknath and Devendra.”

The Opposition shouted “ED” when MLA Pratap Sarnaik was voting in favor of the Shinde-Fadnavis government.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier attached properties worth over Rs 11 crore to Sarnaik in connection to a National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL) scam.

Eknath Shinde won the vote of confidence on Monday after he secured 164 votes in his favor. The Uddhav Thackeray faction managed to secure 99 votes.

Devendra Fadnavis, while addressing the house after the floor test, said he will always support and back Shinde. He added that Shinde’s tenure as the Maharashtra Chief Minister will be successful.

Fadnavis said, “When the Maha Aghadi Vikas (MVA) was first formed, I said it was unnatural. People had insulted me then. But I am back now and I have Shinde with me.” He said he will take revenge on those who insulted him, adding that his revenge was to forgive them.

‘There will be no power struggle and I will only work to make Shinde’s tenure more successful.

The Maharashtra ex cm further praised the chief minister and mentioned the various projects that were taken up by Shinde. He said, “Eknath Shinde works for the common man.”

The results of the floor test sealed Shinde’s position as the 20th chief minister of Maharashtra.

Shinde took oath as the new chief minister of Maharashtra on June 30.
