You’re not Indian if you don’t consider PM Modi “Father of India”: Jitendra Singh

Those who are not proud of US President Donald Trump calling PM Modi “Father of India” cannot call themselves Indian, said Jitendra Singh.

 

New Delhi| Union Minister Jitendra Singh made a controversial statement on Wednesday. He said, “Those who cannot accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Father of India’ cannot call themselves Indians.” Earlier on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump described Modi as Father of India.

Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, told the news agency, “People living abroad feel proud to be Indian today. This is happening when Prime Minister Modi’s personality and his behaviour are increasing the respect of the country. This is the first time the US President has used such words for the Indian Prime Minister but those who are not proud of the term cannot call themselves Indian. ”

We will call him Father of India: Trump

Earlier in New York, Trump said, “India’s position was very shabby at first and Prime Minister Modi did a better job of creating a new India.” I used to remember India first as a pathetic country. Prime Minister Modi fought against terrorism and internal problems in a better way. He united everyone like a father. We will call him as Father of India. I think they did a better job. ”
