IPL 2022 Eliminator- RCB VS Lucknow Supergiant’s

Kolkata: After the first spot for the Tata IPL final gets booked by new franchise Gujarat Titans, The battle for the second spot begins today with the number 3 team taking on number 4(.Lucknow Super Giants)  (Royal Challengers Bangalore)  in the Eliminator at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore last played the finals 6 years ago but could not make the cut against  Sun-risers Hyderabad, coincidentally KL Rahul who today stands in the opposite camp was a part of the challengers that year.

  It was truly a memorable season for the RCB fans, the then skipper Virat Kohli had scored 973 runs in 16 matches at an average of 81.08.

He scored four hundred in the tournament, which is the most by any batsman in a single season.

For Lucknow, it has been a lucky debut season so far, to have reached the playoffs in their very first season and they surely have all the ingredients to make it to the finals. with Quinton de Kock (LSG) and  Virat Kohli(RCB) in  red hot form it can prove to be a cutthroat battle between the two sides. Quinton in his last game scored a 140 and Kohli scored a 73.

When they last Met: Rcb Skipper was just 4 runs shy of his first century of the season(which is still due) backing him in the bowling department was Josh Hazelwood whose figures were 4/25, helped grab RCB an 18 run victory.
