Karthik, Bhuvi replace Jadhav and Kuldeep as India bats first against Bangladesh

Birmingham | The Indian team today made 2 changes in the playing XI as it replaced middle order batsman Kedar Jadhav and spinner Kuldeep Yadav with Dinesh Karthik and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar as India win the toss and elected to bat first in a crucial game against Bangladesh today.

Karthik will be playing his first match in this world cup while Bhuvaneshwar makes and comeback in the team after he got injured in the game against Pakistan.

The Indian team will be playing with 3 seamers in the ongoing world cup for the first time. The inclusion of Karthik was demanded by the fans and the experts after Jadhav on and off performance in the world cup especially after his slow innings in the defeat against England.

The victory against Bangladesh will ensure the Indian team a spot in the semi final as it is currently at the second spot in the points table with 11 points after Australia who has already qualified for the knockout stage.

Meanwhile the Bangladeshi team would enter the match with a hope to repeat its 2007 Worldcup performance where it knocked out the Indian team in the early stage of the World Cup.

Interestingly with Dinesh Karthik been included in the first XI, the Indian team will be playing 4 wicketkeepers in the team.
