After TDP breakout NDA allies send out a unanimous message to BJP- “Talk to alliance partners”

NDA ally Akali Dal MP Naresh Gujral said, “The allies have played a crucial role in BJP’s victory in 2014. However, they are being ignored now.”

After the bitter fallout of Telugu Desam Party from the National Democratic Alliance, the BJP has come under tremendous pressure of keeping its other allies together. While Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has mended his ways with Shivsena and asserted that the ally will not support the no-confidence motion against the Modi government, it is also be noted that Shivsena has time and again slammed the Modi government for its failure to keep the alliance together.

A week ago, TDP had pulled out of the Modi-led Central government. After the humiliating defeat of the BJP in the Gorakhpur, Phulpur and Araria by-polls, the party another big jolt on Friday as the long-time ally TDP pulled out from the NDA coalition as well. However, TDP did not stop at this, it also moved a no-confidence motion against the Modi-government.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu time and again made it clear that it is the ignorance of the BJP’s top leadership towards the issues of Andhra Pradesh, that made him took the step. Shivsena too, in the past, had slammed the BJP leadership on several decisions including Demonetization. So, we can say that there is general anger among the NDA allies against the BJP leadership and against PM Modi and Party President Amit Shah.

Now that the Modi government has faced with its first-ever no-confidence motion in the four years of its tenure, the other allies are advising the BJP that it should win back the confidence of the scorned allies.

Akali Dal MP Naresh Gujral said, “The allies have played a crucial role in BJP’s victory in 2014. However, they are being ignored now.” “The BJP can get TDP back if they listen to the needs of Chandrababu Naidu,” Gujral asserted.

OP Rajbhar who is a cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh said that the alliance partners of BJP in the state, Bharatiya Samaj Party and Apna Dal were not consulted during the by-polls. He said, “Had they consulted us, we could have helped them in the by-polls.”

The LJP leader Chirag Paswan too called for an introspection on the Gorakhpur and Phulpur defeat of the BJP. He said, “Results of UP by-poll, especially Gorakhpur being home turf of CM, is a cause of worry. NDA, specifically BJP needs to re-work strategy. More so when you have a huge majority both in UP & centre.”

Yogi Adityanath after the defeat of Gorakhpur and Phulpur cancelled all his other appointments and called for a high-level meeting with state party leaders. It is now time for the Modi-Shah duo as well to reassess its errors and win the solve the issues of the allies. Keeping an eye on the 2019 Lok Sabha elections it will be a major setback for the BJP if more allies break out from NDA.
