“We need to beg for our rights to the Centre”: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Jharkand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has again accused Central government of discriminating against the state. During a special conversation with media, Hemant Soren has raised many questions on the Modi government regarding the development of the tribal community. Asked about the celebration of Birsa Munda Jayanti Soren said that “Off late a day has been marked in the name of a tribal group but I understand that celebrating a tribal festival and taking this class forward are two different things”.We need to beg for our rights to the Centre” he added.

In the massive outreach to the tribal community on the occasion of Bisra Munda’s birth anniversary on Monday Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the day will be celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav diwas. Modi virtually inaugurated the Bhagwan Bisra Munda Park and Freedom Fighter Museum at Ranchi.

When the question was asked to the CM regarding the support provided by Centre is sufficient or not because the state affected by Naxalism, poverty, lack of unemployment and much more social issue. To which the CM responded Today we inaugurated the Bisra memorial Park in which the Central government only contributed 25 crore and they had to give 150 crore demanding for a equal share.

Hemant Soren also said, “There should be equal and special co-operation for backward poor states like us.We immediately demand special status for the state. This state is rich in natural resources. the country lights up with coal provided by our state. Considering the worsening condition of the state the Centre does not need to be reminded.”

On another question he said, “Under the rule of BJP there has been up roar here, the back of this government is broken while carrying the burden which they left on us. If this continues the condition of the tribal society and the Dalit society will go from bad to worse. The way things are been put on the table of the country regarding the Bisra Jayanti, I think it is been under political formula”.
