No one dies of hunger in India: BJP minister

It was yesterday that one of the ministers from the BJP cabinet C R Chaudhary, who is the state minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, stated in the Parliament that there’s hardly anyone who’s dying of starvation in India. He does not seem to have his facts straight. How is it that a minister responsible for Food and Public Distribution does not know the actual figures?
