The soaring fuel prices are giving sleepless nights to the Common Man of India. While the petrol and Diesel prices remain stable since Tuesday, it is still very much high. A litre of Petrol costs Rs 90.93 and a litre of Diesel costs Rs 81.32 in Delhi. The situation is worse in Mumbai where common man has to pay More than 97 rupees for petrol and more than 88 rupees for Diesel. in Some parts like Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar it has touched Rupees 100 Marks.
If this wasn’t already enough, now the LPG domestic cylinder has also become costlier. The prices of LPG domestic gas cylinders increased by ₹25 per cylinder. A 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will now cost ₹794 in the national capital. In Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad, it will cost you more than 800. This is the third time in a month that the Cylinder prices have been increased.
In total, The LPG domestic gas cylinders have witnessed a hike of ₹200 in three months.
Moreover, even the railways is charging more money for short distance. The Railway ministry yesterday said that fares of these trains have been fixed at par with the price of unreserved tickets of mail and express trains for the same distance. Some passengers have complained of almost double the fares.
So it is a triple whammy for the common man. If you want to drive a car to office, The petrol is costing more, If you use public transport, the prices of fares have been hiked, if you want to use Gas to cook food, even the cylinder prices have also increased.
