BJP’s habit is to bully and instill fear in the opposition: Kharge

During a recent press interaction, Congress President Mallikarjun questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, raising concerns about his claim of being dominant over the opposition while allowing members of the same opposition to join him. Congress leader Mr. Kharge commented on the unity of the opposition, emphasizing that all parties work together and collaborate on parliamentary tasks. He accused the ruling government, stating that the BJP is fearful of the opposition’s actions and resorts to splitting parties to strengthen its own position. The Congress President stressed that this issue goes beyond an individual and that no single person should hold excessive importance in front of the nation. It is the collective responsibility of the opposition to unite and work together when the country’s democracy and constitution are under attack. Criticizing the BJP, he highlighted their tendency to divide parties that have been elected by the people. He questioned why the BJP engages in splitting opposition parties if they believe their own party is good. He also criticized the BJP’s approach of considering opposition leaders as corrupt until they join the BJP, at which point they are portrayed as clean through their “”washing machine”” tactics. Concluding his remarks, he accused the BJP of bullying and attempting to instill fear in non-BJP parties, asserting that the opposition will not be intimidated by such tactics.
