Congress questions BJP on jobs, Indo-US trade?


The Congress on 1st june questions the BJP-led government at a press conference over issues of unemployment and the US’ decision to end its preferential trade treatment to India, saying it is a double whammy and urged the government to take steps to tackle the crises. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala claimed that India stopped purchasing 23.5 million tonnes of crude oil annually from Iran due to US pressure. Surjewala had also said the party won’t stake claim to Leader of Opposition in Parliament since it does not have required numbers. On the question of the leader of the party in Lok Sabha, Randeep Surjewala said the Congress Parliamentary Party leader, Sonia Gandhi, will take a decision soon. #RandeepSurjewala #Congress #IndoUS
