Delhi Assembly Elections: Why Are BJP & Congress Using ‘Bihar’ Connection?


According to reports, the party has not filled 13 seats yet because it is deliberating on accommodating the alliance partners. If reports are to be believed, BJP wants to accommodate its alliance partner from Punjab Shiromani Akali dal, from Haryana JJP and From Bihar JDU and LJP in the remaining seats. Sources say that BJP may field JDU candidates from at least two-three seats. The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is also epected to campaign for the NDA candidates in Delhi. Interestingly, the Congress party too is going for a similar kind of tie-up. Apparently, the party has finalized talks with its Bihar alliance partner Rashtriya Janata Dal and it will spare at least four seats for RJD. It is also important to note, that it is a first of a kind tie-up that both the national parties are doing with their Bihar alliance partners.
