Divided between two NDA ruled states, this village is yet to get ‘Vikas’

Children from this village go to schools which falls in Jharkhand but enrollment becomes a problem because residential certificate belongs to Bihar.

In Bihar’s Pindra Khurd village lives Dinesh Kumar in his small house who is in his 40’s. As the front door of the houses is towards Bihar and the back door points towards the state of Jharkhand. He lives in a village where people complain that neither of the state govt schemes benefits to this village.

Pindra Khurd village of Gaya district is on the border of Gaya and Chatra district. Here the villagers are expecting development from both the government but nothing is done for them. For instance, Children from this village go to schools which falls in Jharkhand but enrollment becomes a problem because residential certificate belongs to Bihar.
People often complain that as the village is on the border of Bihar and Jharkhand they face difficulties in getting any official work done.
Talking about electricity though it has reached the village but it stays only for 2-4 hours a day. Villagers say that the situation is the same since Independence and nothing has changed. From cleanliness campaign to proper road to tap water scheme nothing seems to have reached this village.
In this regard, the deputy development commissioner has also shared his view on the ongoing works of these schemes. When asked about this village, Pindra Khurd, he said that soon the villages will be covered under various schemes under the PM Modi’s rural development schemes.
