“Effort To Create Communal Strife Won’t Be Tolerated In Maharashtra”: Maharashtra HM Warns

“The political atmosphere in the state has heated up once again after the ultimatum given by MNS Chief Raj Thackeray over Loudspeakers. Once again while speaking in Pune, he reiterated the ultimatum of 3rd May where he warned that all the loudspeakers on the mosque should be taken down otherwise his party leaders will play Hanuman chalisa on loudspeaker in front of such mosques. As the matter is being highly politicized now, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has also taken note of this. Maharashtra Home Minister has given important orders to the Commissioner of Police and Director General of Police.

State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has ordered a joint policy regarding the loudspeakers. He has said that the state director general of police and Mumbai police commissioner should decide this policy. He also directed that strict action be taken if any communal rift is created in the state.

He said that The state’s director general of police and Mumbai’s police commissioner will sit together and take a decision and formulate guidelines. He further said, “”In a couple of days, a united policy for the state will be decided. A notification will be issued for the state including Mumbai and rules will be announced from it “.

“”I have said many times, don’t try to create communal rifts. If there is a conscious effort from anyone and if he is found guilty, action will be taken against him, be it an organization, an individual or anyone else, “said Dilip Walse Patil.
