Farmers’ Protest: Sharad Pawar’s Leaked Letter An Attempt To Divert Attention?

The opposition parties earlier had declared that they will support the Farmers’ call for nationwide strike. It included, parties ranging from Congress, NCP, Left Parties, TMC, ShivSena, TRS, SP, AAP, RJD etc. Total 18 parties supported the bandh.
The BJP however took it as an opportunity to blame these parties for the “Politization” of the farmers’ protest. It started with a leaked letter of NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Pawar was India’s Agriculture minister when the UPA was in Power. This letter of his written to two CMs then including Late Shiela Dixit former Delhi CM and then MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was shared on social media by BJP leaders saying that the opposition parties had supported the same reforms for the Agriculture sector when they were in power. before moving on to what the BJP is alleging, let’s see what does the letter actually say?
