“The farmers’ protest was one of the longest-running resistance to the Modi govt policies. For an entire year, the farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Western UP stayed put at the borders of National Capital braving intense heat, rains, and bone-chilling cold. 700 farmers died in the protest. For the duration that the Farmers’ Protest lasted, the ruling BJP leaders left no stone unturned to vilify the farmers. Sometimes they called them Khalistani, sometimes anti-nationals and sometimes they even called them Mawalis. But the resistance continued until one day when Prime Minister Modi himself in a televised address to the nation announced that
the three farm laws termed as Black laws will be withdrawn.
Prime Minister Modi with folded hands apologized saying that he could not convince the farmers protesting at the border that the Farm Laws were good for them. But even after this, we heard statements from some BJP leaders that the govt has taken back the laws now but once it wins the state assembly elections, it will implement the farm laws once again. The question is, Is the BJP govt doing so??? Is it trying to implement one of the three laws without formally trying to do so?
Is the Modi govt deceiving Farmers???
