Hitler’s Nuremberg laws and Citizenship Amendment Bill

The Rajya Sabha-upper house of the Indian parliament passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill on Wednesday. The Bill was passed with 125 MPs voting in favour of the bill while 105 MPs voted against it. The Lok Sabha passed the bill at midnight of Monday with 311 votes in favour of the bill. But there was a long debate over the bill. At one point, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi stood up to speak in Lok Sbaha. He said that if the bill is passed Amit Shah’s name will be featured alongside Hitler. Later he also tried to draw a parallel between the Citizenship Amendment Bill and the Nuremberg Laws.
