“Petroleum companies today increased price of a LPG cylinder by ₹ 25 per cylinder with effect from today. Price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will now cost ₹ 884.50 per cylinder in Delhi. This is the second price hike undertaken by the gas retailers within a month. Not too long ago, On August 18, the gas companies had hiked the price of LPG cylinder by ₹ 25 per cylinder. Likewise, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial cylinder was increased by ₹19 per cylinder and will now cost ₹ 1,693 per cylinder. Now here’s the catch. these prices that I told you are after the subsidy. If this is the price of already subsidized domestic Gas Cylinder, imagine what will be the cost without subsidy. Currently, the government provides 12 subsidised LPG cylinders of 14.2 kilograms to a household every year. Just In the last 15 days the LPG Cylinder has got costly by ₹50. But, if you look at the data from January 2021, you’ll see that the domestic cylinder has got expensive by ₹190.50.
