Maharashtra News: Contradiction in Mahayuti Govt on Nanded Tragedy

Politics and confusion among the ruling Mahayuti government has started around the tragedy in Nanded after 35 deaths including 16 infants were reported at the Dr. Shankarrao Chavan hospital. Lets us understand the full story but before that, if you are watching this on Facebook do like our page and if you are watching this on Youtube do subscribe to HW News English Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Hasan Mussharif has raised serious questions. A day after Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there were no shortages of medicines and staff at the hospital. His minister Hasan Musharif who is from the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has raised questions about the hospital’s delayed medication procurement despite having sufficient funds. ā€œThe issue of housekeeping is very serious, we have taken that seriously. They still have ā‚¹4-5 crores. Why didn’t they purchase medicines? Our committee will give an answer. We will bring the medical college staff here,”” Mr Mussharif has said. So now who is to be held accountable in such a scenario? Because people in the government itself are contradicting each other. Now, if you talk about the hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital, which is a basic requirement at a hospital: Plastic bottles and wrappers clog the drains. Pigs roamed in the open drainage next to the hospital canteen. Seriously! Pigs roaming next to the hospital canteen? Just 2 days ago on the occasion of Gandhi JAYANTI, tall leaders from the ruling parties were seen participating in a cleanliness drive across the country. I think they missed out on this hospital.

Now, An FIR has been registered against Shiv Sena Shinde faction MP Hemant Patil on Wednesday after he allegedly made the acting dean of a government hospital in Nanded clean toilets. The Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors has demanded an unconditional apology from Patil. The doctors association has also said: ā€œAfter witnessing the event, the doctors and the subordinated of the college administrationā€™s top brass are left with hopelessness and despair that despite their best efforts in managing patients with a serious lack of resources, they are being made the scapegoat of the failure of the administration in providing quality health careā€. Now this statement clearly highlights that there was a lack of resources and a failure on the part of the administration which led to the collapse of the healthcare system. Now this is the situation in Nanded, In Sabhajinagar at least 18 deaths were recorded at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar within a 24-hour period. Now let’s move to Nagpur, from where Deputy CM Devendra Fadanvis hails. At least 25 patients lost their lives in just 24 hours. 78 DEATHS DUE TO POOR HEALTH CARE IN A STATE LIKE MAHARASHTRA? AND IN ALL THIS WHERE IS THE HEALTH MINISTER IS ONE QUESTION THAT I HAVE.
