Motor Vehicle Act 2019: Mumbaikars have a mixed reaction over increased fines

From September 1, the new Motor Vehicle Act 2019 came into force. It proposed revised fines and penalties for traffic violations. Since then it has created a lot of buzz because of the higher amount of fines. On the very first day, Delhi Police issued 3900 challans. A biker was fined ₹ 23000 for a bike worth ₹ 15000. Another one set his bike on fire after a fine worth ₹ 11000. We decided to ask people in the financial capital whether they agreed with the revised traffic fines or not. #MotorVehicleAct2019 #TrafficViolations #TrafficFines
