Portions On Gandhi, RSS Ban, Godse and 2002 Riots Removed From NCERT Books

Two days ago we spoke about NCERT making some changes to the syllabus of 10, 11 and 12th standard and omitting some portions on Mughal history. Turns out not only chapters and paras related to Mughal history but some information regarding mahatma Gandhi has also been deleted from political science book of 12th class. According to an Indian Express report, Some information that was taught to class 12 students for more than 15 years about Mahatma Gandhi has been purged from the textbooks. Incidentally, these changes or omissions did not figure in the “list of rationalised content” officially released by the (NCERT) in June last year. but appears in the new textbooks printed that hit the market. Some of the information that were deleted were regarding Mahatma Gandhi’s work on Hindu-Muslim unity and Extremist elements that were against it. One of the sentence also mentions the ban on RSS after Gandhiji’s killing. #NCERT #Gandhi #RSS #Naturamgodse #2002 #Godhra #GujaratRiots #BJP #mahatmagandhi #hwnews
