Why South India is opposing Hindi as a national language?


Home Minister Amit Shah today stressed on the ability of the Hindi language to unite the country and said that it is necessary to have one language which could represent India in the world. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Amit Shah said that widely-spoken Hindi is the language which can keep India united. However, it has met with a strong opposition from the South Indian leader.
