Twitter Suspends Actress Kangana Ranaut’s Account For Violating Hate Speech Rules of Platform

“After a series of controversial tweets, actor Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account has been permanently suspended. In the tweet that may have caused the action against Kangana Ranaut, the actor seems to urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “tame” Mamata Banerjee using his “Virat Roop” from “early 2000s” in Bengal. Ms Ranaut was reacting to a tweet by journalist-politician Swapan Dasgupta on the violence in Bengal after election results on Sunday. Her response caused outrage on the social media platform and demands grew for action against the actor.
