According to the Delhi Police chargesheet, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and outgoing BJP MP, is accused of sexual harassment and could face prosecution and punishment for offenses related to stalking and molestation. The chargesheet, based on investigations and complaints filed by six women wrestlers, states that Singh is liable to be prosecuted and punished. The chargesheet includes sections such as criminal intimidation, outraging the modesty of a woman, sexual harassment, and stalking. The police have requested the court to summon Singh and the witnesses, with 15 witnesses, including wrestlers, coaches, and referees, corroborating the allegations made by the wrestlers. The case was filed on June 15, and if convicted, Singh could face a jail term of three to five years. Singh has denied the charges, and his supporters believe that his innocence will be proven through the judicial process.
