Mumbai’s Hawker tests positive for Coronavirus

MUMBAI| On Tuesday, 65-year-old female, who serves lunch near a corporate office in Mumbai’s Prabhadevi, tested positive for Covid-19.

The people who suspect to be in contact with the woman have asked to move to Kasturba Hospital for testing and some others are being traced, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

The assistant commissioner of G-South Ward, Sharad Ughade said, “Results of her close contacts are awaited”.

On Tuesday, another man 25-year-old who tested positive for Covid-19 stays in the same area who is house help but later he tested negative.

The patient sells tobacco in Ghatkopar area. A 37-year-old man who stayed in Kalina tested positive on Tuesday. He worked as a waiter in Italy, passed screening at the airport and tested negative at Kasturba Hospital.

“He developed symptoms and later consulted a local doctor and then went to Kasturba Hospital again and tested positive, said Brian Miranda, ex-corporate of the area.
