New Delhi | Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden’s son Hamza Bin Laden is dead, according to multiple reports.
A news agency in the US has claimed that the US obtained the intelligence that the son and potential successor of Osama, his son Hamza is dead.
Hamza bin Laden had a $1 million bounty placed on his capture by America in February.
When asked by reporters whether Hamza is indeed dead, US President Donald Trump refused to comment on it.
He had was an important figure in the Al Qaeda, was active in the group.
It is believed that during the Navy SEAL capture of Osama in Abbottabad in Pakistan, Hamza was the only one who escaped alive.
He is the son of Khairiah Sabar of Saudi Arabia, one of bin Laden’s three wives.
The New York Times reported that the United States had a role in the operation that led to Hamza’s death, which it said took place in the past two years.
In March, Saudi Arabia announced it had stripped Hamza bin Laden of his citizenship, saying the decision was made by royal order in November 2018.
