Purvanchal Express not the only gift to people in UP Elections,Many more on the go

Noida: The Purvanchal Expressway will not be the last gift to Uttar Pradesh this election season from the BJP government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi could lay the foundation stone of two more major infrastructure projects and inaugurate at least three key projects next month, According to reports by News18.

PM Modi will first be in Greater Noida on November 25 to lay the foundation stone of the mega Noida International Airport project and hold a public rally.

At the Purvanchal Expressway’s launch on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that work on the 594-kilometer long Ganga Expressway connecting East and West Uttar Pradesh will “start in a few days” and that work on the 296-kilometer long Bundelkhand Expressway connecting Etawah and Chitrakoot is moving at a faster pace.

This expressway will run parallel to the existing Lucknow-Agra Expressway, begin near the NHAI’s operating Delhi-Meerut Expressway, and cost over Rs 36,000 crore.

The Bundelkhand Expressway had 76 percent of its work completed, and the Uttar Pradesh government planned to launch the expressway by the end of December. This project will also run concurrently to the existing Lucknow-Agra Expressway and provide as a lifeline for the future UP Defence Corridor project in Bundelkhand. The Fertilizer Plant and AIIMS in Gorakhpur are the other two major projects that the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate in the Gorakhpur district on December 5, a official stated.

The Samajwadi Party has been criticising the Yogi government for “only inaugurating projects initiated by the Akhilesh Yadav government,” such as the Purvanchal Expressway, which stretches for 341 kilometres. The above-mentioned planned projects, according to a BJP leader in the state, are all trademark projects of the Centre and the Yogi government “on which no one else can hold fast to.” He added that the diverse range of projects will appeal to the state’s many areas, including Western UP, Bundelkhand, Awadh (Central), and Eastern UP.
