The Supreme Court has stayed a directive requiring shop owners along Kanwar Yatra routes to display their names. The Court questioned the legality and intent behind the directive, which was criticized for potentially revealing religious identities. “(Sellers) may be required to display the kind of food they are serving to Kanwariyas but they must not be forced to disclose the names,” the Court ruled.
