A video from Surat is going viral all over social media. In the video a group of school students were seen parading nearly 30 luxury cars on the streets in Surat. As the video went viral, the city’s traffic police initiated action against the car owners. The Incident occurred at Surat’s Jahangirpura.
The students wore school uniforms and filmed a reel featuring high-end luxury cars, including BMWs and Mercedes. They used ground-level cameras and drones to film the reel.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amita Vanani have promised strict action. She said, “We have reviewed the footage and identified multiple violations. The law will take its course, and necessary action will be taken against those responsible.”
The police initiated an investigation on Monday. They then pursued legal action against the students and their parents for multiple traffic rule violations. The Police detained 12 individuals from the 26 cars.

DCP (Zone-5) Rakesh Barot said, “Of these, 12 cars were detained from the students’ homes, 9 cars were out of the station and will be seized soon, and five used for family functions were expected to be seized in the night.”
He further added, “After detaining all the cars, we will verify the driver, licence, and ownership details and examine the extent of violations before taking further action”.
Meanwhile, the school’s founder, Vardan Kabra, expressed that they do not endorse such activities.

Kabra told TOI, “We have fully cooperated with the police and provided all necessary details. A day before the farewell, we emailed parents and students advising them not to arrive in personal vehicles, even if they held a valid driving licence. Instead, we recommended drop-offs by parents or drivers and even arranged buses. No cars were allowed inside the school premises.”
