Yogi perform jal ceremony with Kabul water

Ayodhya, UP: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday performed ‘Jal Abhishek’ water of Kabul river sent by a girl from Afghanistan at Shree Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

The chief minister said that she sent the water as part of her rich religious feeling attached to the temple in Ayodhya. The water of the Kabul river was mixed with Gangajal and then poured at the Ram temple construction site as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s instructions, he added.

 Yogi Adityanath also offered prayers to Ram Lalla at the temple site in Ayodhya.

“A girl from Afghanistan had sent water of the Kabul river to PM Modi to offer it at Shree Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Accordingly, I am going to Ayodhya to offer it to Lord Rama,” CM Adityanath said in Lucknow before leaving for Ayodhya earlier today.

“From that point of view, I am going there specifically to add that sentiment to this event (Deepotsav) as well,” he added.

Earlier today, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi addressed the ‘Pratigya Rally’ in Gorakhpur, the home district of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
