The video was first shared by businessman Arun Pudur on Twitter. It was then reshared by Norwegian diplomat Eric Solheim.
In the 57-second long clip, S Jaishankar can be seen talking about his visit to the United States earlier last year after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.
The Union Minister said that his son also lived there. following this, he narrated a short story. What happened was that the father-son duo visited a restaurant in the US. They were asked to produce their vaccination certificates at the entrance.
While S Jaishankar showed the certificate on his phone, his son took out his vaccine certificate from his wallet.

Through the anecdote, S Jaishankar was explaining the advantages of having the Cowin portal and how it has made things hassle-free for Indians.
Cowin is an Indian government web portal for Covid-19 vaccination registration.
