Biharโ€™s former minister and BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Sunday claimed that the party will win 40 seats from the state in the next Lok Sabha polls.

The bypolls were held on November 3 for seven assembly seats in six states and the counting started Sunday morning. โ€œJD(U) severed ties with BJP and went to RJD but couldnโ€™t defeat BJP in Gopalganj. Clear message that even together they canโ€™t defeat BJP,โ€ he said.

His statement comes after Kusum Devi defeated RJD candidate Mohan Prasad Gupta to win the Gopalganj seat in the bypoll. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Neelam Devi won the Mokama seat in Bihar with 70,746 votes, while BJPโ€™s Sonam Devi could garner 54,258 votes.

โ€œTheir victory margin went down in Mokama. It shows the future is BJPโ€™s. Weโ€™ll win all 40 seats in LS polls,โ€ said Hussain.

Taking a dig at JDU, he said that the JDU broke away from the BJP and formed a grand alliance with RJD, yet they could not defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in Gopalganj.

โ€œAs far as their win in Mokama is concerned, โ€œchote sarkarโ€ Anant Singh fought the election there. RJD and JDU made an alliance to fight elections yet their margins decreased. BJP fought with great strength. BJP will win 40 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats,โ€ Biharโ€™s former minister and BJP leader said.

Lauding the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that people are happy with the policy and the efforts of PM Modi.

โ€œBJP is blooming everywhere in the bye-election and there is a wave of Bharatiya Janata Party everywhere. It is clear that the people of the whole country are happy with the policy of our leader Narendra Modi, so the results of the elections are coming in our favour,โ€ he added.

TestHostEntry

One of the protesting students said that, since last four years, there hasnโ€™t been any recruitment in railway and 10 students even had committed suicide.

On the busy Tuesday, the Mumbaikars had to face a lot of difficulties as the local train services were hit due to protesting students. As of now, the students have called off the protest and railway services are expected to return to normalcy in next one hour.

The lifeline of Mumbai-local trains came to a halt after students started protesting demanding the assurance of jobs in Railways. They started protesting on the railway tracks between the Dadar and Matunga station. This affected the train service on Central lines causing disruption in transport between the Matunga and CSMT.

According to railway officials, the students began protesting at around 7 AM in the morning. As soon as the news spread, the police rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. The protestors also demanded to meet Railway minister Piyush Goyal.

The students who were protesting sought a job assurance from the rail department. One of the protesting students told the reporters that they were unhappy about the procrastination in filling the vacant posts in Railway. He said, โ€œSince last four years, there hasnโ€™t been any recruitment. We are struggling and going from office to office. 10 students even have committed suicide.โ€ โ€œWe canโ€™t let this continue in this way,โ€ he added.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil confirmed that the party is supporting the protesting students. On the other hand, local MNS workers too arrived at the spot to show solidarity with the protesting students.
