On Wednesday, two military personnel lost their lives in an Encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The officer who lost his life was a member of the 63 Rashtriya Rifles. Additionally, one militant was killed in the collaborative operation conducted by the Jammu Kashmir Police and security forces.
As part of a joint operation, the Jammu Kashmir Police and security forces engaged in the operation at Bazi Mal Upper in the Dharamsal area of Kalakote sub-division, resulting in the death of one militant.

Police sources affirmed that the encounter had been ongoing since Wednesday morning, with five or six heavily armed militants taking refuge in dense forests. The clash ensued when the militants initiated gunfire against a joint search party comprising police and security forces, who had been conducting a cordon and search operation in the area for several days.
Earlier, on Friday, another militant was killed in a collaborative operation by J&K Police and security forces in the Budhal area of Rajouri district. The slain militant was found with an AK-47 rifle, three magazines, three grenades, and a pouch, while his accomplices managed to evade capture.
