Former Union Minister Suryakanta Patil resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday. The four-time MP from Maharashtra’s Hingoli-Nanded said she was “thankful” to the party and “learned a lot in the last 10 years”. Patil was denied a ticket in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Reports say she’s likely to join Sharad Pawar’s NCP – of which she was a part prior to 2014.
