Ex-Union Minister Quits BJP, Likely To Join Sharad Pawarโ€™s NCP

Former Union Minister Suryakanta Patil resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday. The four-time MP from Maharashtraโ€™s Hingoli-Nanded said she was โ€œthankfulโ€ to the party and โ€œlearned a lot in the last 10 yearsโ€. Patil was denied a ticket in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Reports say sheโ€™s likely to join Sharad Pawarโ€™s NCP โ€“ of which she was a part prior to 2014.
