The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance in Maharashtra has finalized its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming state assembly elections. According to the arrangement, Congress will contest on 104 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) on 96 seats, and the NCP will contest on 88 seats.
Other Smaller parties like Samajwadi Party (SP) and Peasants and Workers Party (PWP) will also get seats. Initially, there were disagreements over Vidarbha region seats, but consensus was reached after multiple meetings and intervention by Sharad Pawar.

According to reports, the Congress will be contesting Nagpur West, Kamthi, Gondiya and Bhandara seats. Shiv Sena (UBT) has been allotted a total of 11 seats in the region, including Vani and Ramtetk, while the NCP (Sharad Pawar) will be contesting on 11 to 12 seats.
The alliance hopes to replicate its success in the Lok Sabha polls, where it won 30 seats. The 288-member Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 will be held on November 20, and the results will be declared on November 23.
