What Indiaโ€™s Armed Forces Said Post-Ceasefire

What India's Armed Forces

Meanwhile, NSA Ajit Doval reaches to meet PM Modi

The armed forces spoke about India and Pakistanโ€™s decision to have a ceasefire after US mediates between both.

Air Vice Marshal Kapil Kak, former IAF officer said, โ€œI have been, over the last three days or so, mentioning on numerous channels that it is only a matter of days. That one will find ways and means to somehow conclude this. You just mentioned that Donald Trump spoke of it, and the two sides then said this was directly between them.โ€

โ€œFrankly, I have taken part in two wars and have been following the India-Pakistan conflict closely. I believe that this is the role that has been that of Donald Trump, Mohamed bin Zayed from the UAE and some friends of India and Pakistan who have worked hard through nimble diplomacy back back-channel work and gentle nudges and pressures on the two countries that this is not the way forward for you.โ€

โ€œIt is also simultaneously a realisation by both sides, I think, far more by Pakistan than by India, because India has ushered in a new strategic and political military doctrine that thresholds of tolerance, in so far as terror is concerned, a new threshold has been established.โ€

Commodore Raghu R Nair, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi hold a press briefing after the ceasefire.

โ€œCommodore Raghu R Nair said, โ€œAs the foreign secretary had said, there is an understanding that has been reached to stop all military activities on sea, air and land. The Indian Army, Air Force and Navy have been instructed to adhere to this understandingโ€

Major General (Retd) Harsha Kakkar said, โ€œPakistanโ€™s DGMO has called for a ceasefire. When a country requests an urgent ceasefire, it usually means they are bearing the brunt of the impact and fear further damage,โ€
