Pakistan has been its forces further towards the border and intend to intensify the situation, the Armed Forces told

On Saturday, India reiterated it does not seek any escalation of the current situation with Pakistan. Islamabad has been moving its forces further towards the border and intend to intensify the situation, the Armed Forces said.

Who Spoke

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi addressed a special concerted briefing.

India has handled the situation appropriately so far told Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.

“Pakistan military has been observed to be moving its troops into forward areas, indicating an offensive intent to further escalate the situation. Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness. All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to appropriately. Indian armed forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is reciprocated by the Pakistani military,” Wing Commander Vyomika said.

Colonel Qureshi stated, “India neutralised many dangers, but Pakistan tried to infiltrate via Air at more than 26 places, and they damaged our equipment and personnel at air force bases in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, Bathinda. They used high-speed missiles at 1:40 am to target Punjab’s air base. They even attacked health facilities and school.”

India’s Response To Pakistan’s Attempts

“In a swift and calibrated response, Indian armed forces carried out a precision strike only at identified military targets. These included technical infrastructure, command and control centre, radar sites and weapon storage areas. Pakistan military targets at Murid, Chaklala (Rawalpindi), Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Sunia were engaged using air launch precision weapons from our fighter aircraft. Radar sites at Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base were also targeted using precision munitions,” she concluded.

Singh then added, “Pakistan has also attempted to execute a continued malicious misinformation campaign, with claims of destruction of the Indian S-400 system, destruction of airfields at Surat and Sirsa… India unequivocally rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan.”

Rampant Spread Of Misinformation

Foreign Secretary Misri asserted, “Pakistani claims continue to be heavy on lies, misinformation, and propaganda. India has responded in a responsible and measured manner to these repeated provocations.”

“Totally frivolous allegation. I only want to point out that the Afghan people don’t need to be reminded about which country it is that on multiple occasions in just the last one-and-a-half years targeted civilian infrastructure and population in Afghanistan,” Misri later added.
