Twitter Takes Down Kangana Ranaut’s Tweets Over Violation Of Rules

In the last few hours, two tweets by the actress were deleted, both related to the farmer protests and the backlash on the world stage.

Tweets by actress Kangana Ranaut were removed by Twitter today, with a message that read they were in violation of the platform’s rules on hate speech.

In the last few hours, two tweets by the actress were deleted, both related to the farmer protests and the backlash on the world stage after tweets by international celebrities.

Twitter, in a statement, said: “We have taken action on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter Rules in line with our range of enforcement options.”

This development comes after the actress went on a rampage on micro-blogging site, attacking pop-star Rihanna who had tweeted in support of the farmers’ protest. The actress also called climate activist Greta Thunberg a “rat” over her comments on the ongoing farmers’ agitation.

One of the deleted tweets by Ms Rauant was a response to the tweet by cricket Rohit Sharma, one of the many tweets by celebrities to deliver a message of solidarity and unity after tweets like Rihanna’s highlighting the farmers’ protest.

The actress not only called Rihanna a “fool” but also labelled protesting farmers as “terrorists” and said they were trying to divide India.

In a response to the tweet by Rihanna, who asked why nobody was talking about the ongoing protest, Ms Ranuant said: “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”

However, this is not the first time that Twitter has taken action on the Queen star. Her account was suspended briefly on Twitter in the past after she appeared to call for the beheading of producers of a TV show that she believed was offensive to Hindus.
