The tug of war primacy in governance is always been there as far as legislature and judiciary is concerned. Government which is run by political parties has always being trying to gain control over the other two Constitution bodies. Manipulating the Judiciary for political gains goes back to the Indira Gandhi years of Government. With the recent interference of the Government on appointing the Supreme Court judges, it is clear indication that this government too is trying to meld into the judiciary matters.
