New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday along with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Tuesday held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of BJP governed states in Delhi ahead of the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha election. The deputy Chief Ministers of these states will also be present at the meeting held at the BJP headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

According to sources, PM Modi will discuss the preparation for the upcoming election, the seat share in respective states along with the implementation of the central government’s schemes in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be addressing the Chief Ministers through an inaugural speech while BJP president is set to give the concluding speech.
Since the appointment of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister in 2014, such meeting are being held annually. Speaking about the meeting, BJP sources said, apart from the discussion of the general strategy in the meeting, there is a possibility of discussions regarding the implementation of various central schemes and preparations for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJP currently has 15 Chief Ministers and 7 Deputy Chief Ministers.
