“No matter how much they try to stop us, they may steal our food park, our IIT but Amethi will become world’s best educational hub,” said Rahul Gandhi.
A day after attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the cash crunch, Congress President Rahul Gandhi lashed out at UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accusing him of creating obstacles in the path of development of Amethi. Rahul Gandhi, however, also assured that 10 to 15 years down the line Amethi will be mentioned in the same breath as Singapore and California.
Rahul Gandhi was addressing a gathering of party workers in Amethi. The Gandhi scion said, “After 10-15 years when people mention Singapore and California, they will also mention Amethi.” He also assured that Amethi will become educational hub despite obstacles created by them (state govt.). “No matter how much they try to stop us, they may steal our food park, our IIT but Amethi will become world’s best educational hub, no one can stop this from happening.”

Attacking Prime minister Narendra Modi’s promise of “Achhe Din”, he said, “Modi Ji had said that the people will witness good days. Whose good days have come?” He further alleged that only people like Nirav Modi are experiencing good days. “The public, farmers, labourers, the poor, are all facing bad days,” stated Gandhi.
However, later in the day, he brushed aside questions by the students during his visit. Some students also asked him about lack of benefit schemes being implemented in rural areas. But, Rahul Gandhi avoided the question by saying that this question should be asked to Modi Ji. “This is not my government in the centre. When I form the government, ask me,” quipped Rahul Gandhi.
When students also asked about poor electricity supply issue, he blamed it on UP’s Yogi government. He said, “Yogi Adityanath runs Amethi. I am just an MP. My job is passing legislation in the Lok Sabha. But it is the job of Yogi Adityanath to run UP. But Yogi ji is not focusing on it.”
