Bihar Elections 2020: From Pappu Yadav To Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Here Are The Key Candidates From Third Phase

In the third phase of Bihar Assembly elections, Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary is in fray from Sarairanjan, where he is pitted against Arvind Kumar Sahni of RJD.

 

Patna| The third and final phase of Bihar Election 2020 will be held today. The voting has begun in 78 assembly constituencies on Saturday, where all eyes are on the contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Grand Alliance in the state. The 78 assembly seats in the third and final phase of the state’s 243-member assembly are located in 15 districts and around 2.34 crore voters will exercise their franchise. There are 1204 candidates in the fray, including Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and 12 members of the State Cabinet. In this last phase of voting, all eyes are on Pappu Yadav and Owaisi’s region of ​​influence.

Key Candidates

In the third phase of Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary is in fray from Sarairanjan, where he is pitted against Arvind Kumar Sahni of Rashtriya Janata Dal.

Janata Dal United leaders and ministers Vijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul), Narendra Narayan Yadav (Alamnagar), Maheshwar Hazari (Kalyanpur), Madan Sahni (Bahadurpur), Ramesh Rishidev (Singheshwar), Khurshid alias Firoz Ahmed (Sikta), Laxmeshwar Rai ( Laukha) and Bima Bharti (Rupauli) are in the fray.

BJP ministers Suresh Sharma (Muzaffarpur), Vinod Narayan Jha (Benipatti), Pramod Kumar (Motihari) and Krishna Kumar Rishi (Banamanakhi) are also trying their luck.

Lovely Anand (RJD) is contesting from Saharsa, Ritu Jaiswal (RJD) from Parihar and Vinay Bihari (BJP) from Lauria. Subhashini Bundela, daughter of Sharad Yadav, a candidate from Bihariganj on RJD ticket, is also eyeing for victory.

Mukesh Sahni, the President of the Vikasanshil Insan Party, is contesting from Bakhtiyarpur, while Pappu Yadav chief of the Jan Adhikar Party, is trying his luck in Madhepura. Nisha Singh (Pranpur), wife of the late Vinod Kumar Singh, who was a minister in the Bihar government, and Meena Kamat, the daughter-in-law of the late Kapil Dev Kamat, is contesting from Babulahi and Komal Singh Gaighat, daughter of Veena Singh, MP from Vaishali is also contesting in the elections.

 

RJD is contesting the maximum 46 seats in the third phase. The Congress is contesting 25 seats in the Grand Alliance. The Janata Dal United is contesting the highest 37 seats in the National Democratic Alliance. Whereas, BJP is in second position with 3 5 seats.
